PERFECTION IN DESIGN, PLAYABILITY AND SOUND

Many bassists, likely countless, in the 1980s, inspired by Jaco’s first album, bravely pulled the frets out of the fingerboard of their bass. So did 16-year-old Mas Hino with his 1966 Fender Mustang Bass. He filled the resulting gaps with epoxy resin, unaware that with this act, he had just sealed his professional fate.
